We might find ourselves feeling overwhelmed by sadness, anger or depression. There is no template for grief and we all experience loss in different ways. Culture, family and personal beliefs all affect how we will grieve such loss, so it is a process we need to go through in our own time and our own way. Through our counselling together, you will have the space and support you need to work through this process.
In Counselling we can use models to help us understand what we are going through in grief but I work in a way that holds any such models lightly. I believe that they can be useful reference points for us, but we must allow ourselves the flexibility and individuality to be able to follow our own path through such challenges.
